Roxanne's CD Reviews
About "It Was Your Cross"
Good poety, simple melody and thoughtful introspection are the seed-beds of pretty Roxanne's personal new-country music a la Canada-style. Zeroing into thinking people, she is produced by Andy Thompson and recorded in Northumberland Music Studios, Warkworth, Ontario with a sprinkling of duetists including Hiram Joseph and Andy Thompson. Roxanne is of Canada's "new breed of folk-country" that represent the generation of today. She wears her heart on her sleeve with class. Mostly self-penned, here's several notable biographical songs herewith given the classic singer-songwriter airing, well-played and well-sung in a way to garner considerable attention inside and outside the church community. To me, this album starts to beg comparisons with the best as she seems not lacking in experience and brilliant-in-expression, a new name to me but a country-name to watch.

Roxanne is an award winning artist with a powerful music ministry. A singer/songwriter who deals with life's issues in an honest, meaningful way. Roxanne's songs are born out of her own personal journey of faith and touch upon topics that almost anyone can relate to.

It Was Your Cross is the latest release from Award winning Canadian Christian artist Roxanne. From the opening track, a spirit of worship permeates the CD, and the eclectic musical styles, ranging from the beautiful ballad of the title track to the down-home country feel of "I Will Dance" to the softer jazz flavored "Faithful Father," invite the listener to enter into the living presence of God. Acclaimed Canadian Christian Vocalist Hiram Joseph joins Roxanne for some stirring duets throughout the CD, while Roxanne's own lead vocals, on song after song, are pure and heartfelt. I am the senior pastor of Mercy of God Church and I have known Roxanne for some time now. She has been our Worship Leader and we have been blessed to know her as a friend also. My wife and I have spent much time with Roxanne and the one thing we count as joy is her transparent heart. She reveals Christ in her life through humility, joy and longsuffering. Through the good and the bad times I have watched Roxanne minister to the Lord and to his people. I believe her songs come from the heart of God and will bless and inspire all who hear. It would be to your benefit to have her minister to your assembly.

Her passion to sing and play music is her life, yet GOD and her family have first place in her heart. She travels with her husband, Singer/Songwriter, Terry Sheridan. A team, undeniably brought together by divine intervention, they have co-written music and sing both country and gospel music. www.terrysheridan.ca
